Black Bear Attempts Vertical Rock Wall Climb

Occurred on July 17, 2019 / Edwards, Colorado, USA

Info from Licensor: "A black bear jumped a guardrail crossing the street in front of our car on the way to The Club of Cordillera in Edwards, Colorado. The bear saw oncoming cars and ran across the street, jumped the opposite guardrail and ran up the nearly vertical rock dirt mountain wall. He initially climbs halfway up when we begin filming. He makes several attempts to scale the wall, as he loosens rocks and dirt (you can hear hitting guardrail). He finally makes it to the very top, but can not climb past the overhanging grass ledge. He then moves to our left and loses his foothold and drops 30-40 feet before he regains his grip on the wall. After a short recovery, he decides to give up the climb and risk going back past the cars on the street and down the hill."
