Two Police Officers Assist Elderly Woman in Wheelchair

Occurred on August 28, 2016 / Greenville, South Carolina, USA

Info from Licensor: "Two officers were spotted on Sunday August 28, 2016 at approximately 1:30pm rendering aid to an elderly, handicapped woman when her heavy motorized wheelchair became disabled while she was out downtown. They assisted her across a busy four-lane highway with her belongings. They pushed her up a slope/hill and eventually to her home at Scott Towers, which is a senior living facility. What makes this video so unique is the act of kindness behind it. This was not a cake walk, as the officers had to strain and at times struggle to push the woman. You can see in the video how they had to use all of their strength to make this journey. Once officer actually gave out and the other officer kept going, ensuring that the woman made it to safety. This act of kindness shows the side of police that is rarely captured and spotlighted. This shows the true meaning of going above and beyond and fulfilling their duty to protect and serve the public. It was in the dead heat of day! This woman could have died if it wasn't for the police rendering aid to her. This is also the same street where in July a Black Lives Matter protest took place and an officer was allegedly choked by a Black Lives Matter activist who was charged with attempted murder on this officer. This city is a hot topic now and this video is very relevant in hopes of making amends with BLM activists and the police by showing that BLM is not against the police but against police brutality and injustices."
