Runaway Dog on Busy California Freeway

Occurred on February 6, 2019 / Lynwood, California, USA

Info from Licensor: "Traffic slowed down sharply to a halt after 8:00 am Wednesday on the 105, West of the Wilmington exit In Lynwood. When my husband, who was driving, said he saw a dog on the freeway, I thought we surely would have a sad story to tell, but out sprung from between two cars the fluffiest, bounciest little dog I’ve ever seen, between the number 1 and 2 lanes on one of California’s busiest freeways! People in cars were cutting lanes trying to corral the little munchkin. A few people abandoned their cars in the middle lanes of the freeway to chase it as far as they dare leave their car behind in traffic. Someone pulled off on the right shoulder. Someone pulled off on the left shoulder. The dog was definitely not interested in stopping for anybody. Those on the “front line” one by one, opted out and drove away after their failed attempts to help capture the dog, with the next line of people slowing down to be either onlookers or attempted heroes. Clearly the little dog was exhausted and scared to death. We drove off without finding out how the little guy made it out of there."
