Why Did the Echidna Cross the Road?

Info from Licensor: "On our way home, we saw something crossing the road and slowed. It turned out to be a cute little Echidna, which is an Australian native spiny anteater. I've lived here ten years and it's the first time we've seen one in the wild, never mind crossing the road in the middle of the day! What was impressive was the way the drivers coming in the opposite direction also stopped to let the little guy finish crossing the road."
