Orcas Entertain Fishing Boat Charter in San Diego

Info from Licensor: "We run a fishing charter out of San Diego. There were six customers onboard, a deckhand, and myself. We encountered a pod of 5-6 orca’s about 8 miles west of the Coronado Islands in Mexican waters. They proceeded to get curious about our boat, swimming underneath us and checking us out. At one point, we witnessed the big one eating a seal carcass about 40-yards off the side of our boat. At some point, someone mentioned that video of an orca playing in a boat wake, so I decided to motor on and see what happens. Next thing you know, we had all of them playing in our wake, doing tricks and giving us one hell of a show. It’s very rare to encounter orca’s this close to our coast. It was truly a privileged moment we’ll never forget."
