Toddler Devastated to Learn that Dogs Don’t Lay Eggs

Info from Licensor: "My husband, 3.5 yo daughter, and I were on a road trip to San Diego. She LOVES animals and we spent a good portion of the drive talking about animal characteristics. We were talking about what animals lay eggs and what animals have live birth and she excitedly declared “and dogs lay eggs!” I gently corrected her that actually, dogs are one of the animals that have live birth - they have puppies, not eggs. She was instantly crying - she’d had her heart set on the idea of dogs laying eggs I guess. This is when I started filming. I asked, “You’re sad because I said what?” She replied “You said dogs don’t lay eggs!!” followed by a sad, whimper-y cry. I offered a bewildered but empathetic “Ohh…” and she continued, “That’s what that made me sad.” I said, “I’m sorry I made you sad; maybe we can pretend that dogs lay eggs.” She took a much-needed nap shortly after :)"
