Killer Whales Circle in on Humpback Whales

Occurred on August 29, 2018 / Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada

Info from Licensor: "I was in the middle of fighting a Chinook, or spring, salmon to the boat when I heard my friend say, 'Nicole there's a whale up front.' By the time I released the salmon and turned on my camera they had changed directions and came straight to our boat. Surprisingly, they circled completely around the boat heading back the way they just came. It was at that time we noticed a pod of killer whales heading toward the humpbacks and eventually formed a large circle around them."
