Drone Captures Rescue on Frozen Michigan Lake

Info from Licensor: It happened on 3/5/2023 around 1 pm on Townline Lake located in Lakeview, Michigan. A man in his 40s and his girlfriend's son, age 6, were out ice fishing. The man fell through the ice and was able to pull himself up out of the water and onto the ice. He laid on the ice for about 2 hours until the rescue team could reach him. The rescue team crawled out on the ice and also broke a path through the ice. Once the rescue team reached the man they loaded him onto a raft. Right as that was happening the airboat arrived and they pulled the boy to safety on the boat. The boy was sitting on a sled on top of the ice, the boy was never in the water. Both the man and the boy were brought to shore on the airboat. Ambulances were ready for them. Both the man and boy were safe and OK to our knowledge.
