Info from Licensor: "Tatum was rescued in Georgia from an abuse case. He was starved only weighing about 10 pounds, has a broken tail, chunks missing from his ears, and many scars. The Pixel Fund rescued him on his day to die at a kill shelter. He was sent to a few different foster homes between Georgia and Maine. My wife Nicole and I saw him on the Pixel Fund’s website and fell in love with his photo (so much so we adopted him without the chance to meet him).
When he came to live with us he was afraid of loud noises, water, anything with a handle like a broom, and would cower when we tossed a ball to him. He is now a completely spoiled, trusting, lazy, fun-loving and most affectionate dog you’ve ever met. His favorites are blueberries, raspberries, watermelon, and following his mom around like a shadow.
As for the “leaping”, our trainer Jason, said when he does it, all we should do is laugh! When he REALLY wants to get somewhere (like the video) he leaps because he thinks he can get there faster. In the video you’ve seen, he is trying to get to a neighbor that usually gives him treats."
