Info from Licensor: "This is an area of land just under 30 acres. It sets in the middle of hundreds of heavily hunted wooded acres. Injured animals find this place and come to heal. We call it Deer Haven. Some deer living in this 'green zone' safe from hunting are nearly 20 years old. We have what is called 'The Mound'. The Mound has had food placed on it like clockwork for about 15-16 years, not missing one day. Deer trails over ten miles long lead in all directions from it. A new animal can happen on the scene, and feel comfortable just by seeing the other wildlife has no fear of my human presence. I’ve built what I call Animal Equity over the years of this dedicated safe haven for wildlife. It’s my passion. I see these animals more than I see people. It’s a way of life for them, and for me. Animals of multiple species like to mingle here. This video was a daily summer feeding of peanuts to the raccoons. The water keeps them cool and playful, plus helps them break the peanuts down for digestion. And raccoons like to feel their food. Water helps them feel food while eating. The end result is I live in a fairytale each day. Friends call me the Wildlife Whisperer."
