Man Extracts Cactus Bristles from Wild Hawk

Occurred on October 24, 2015 / Arizona, USA Info from Licensor: "While on the way out to go wheeling at Table Mesa, I saw a hawk fly across the road in front of me. I noticed she was covered in chollas and wasn't flying very well. It landed on the other side of the road. I jumped out a chased it down. I took off my jacket and was able to cover it and grab it safely. Took it over to the truck and proceeded to remove as much of the chollas as I could. For those that haven't experienced chollas they are covered in barbed thorns and are difficult to remove without a comb or tool do some sort. Looks to be a female juvenile red tail hawk."
