Info from Licensor: "My partner Anne and I decided to engage in some social distancing out on my boat in the Monterey Bay. At the end of the day, when we were about to depart back to the harbor, we noticed some unusual splashing on the surface a few hundred yards away. We investigated and found 5 gray whales playing, chasing, and rolling with each other. I put the boat in neutral, and to our surprise, the whales came straight to our boat and played under it for an hour. They spy hopped, splashed, nuzzled the bottom of the boat, we could see they were curiously looking at us. It was an incredible and unique experience for this area, and we were extremely lucky to have these whales engage with us in this way."
