Info from Licensor: "I was out storm chasing, and chose this growing supercell to target. I believed it to have tornado potential and it produced a much bigger and longer-lived tornado than even I expected. Over the 20ish minutes it was on the ground I took many video clips of it from my position on HWY 2A south of Carstairs. It was only my second time storm chasing, and my first time seeing a tornado! In the end, 14 houses were damaged, 5 homes were destroyed, and many animals died or had to be put down, but amazingly only one person was injured. The tornado was moving slowly SE from Didsbury towards the Queen Elizabeth 2 highway just south of Crossfield. Thankfully it lifted before it got to the HWY because it was strong enough to flip a combine tractor and cars in its path. If it had tracked over a busy major highway at its full strength people probably would have been killed."
