Info from Licensor: Friday morning, my wedding day, I woke up and went to the balcony of room 1601W at Splash Resort to have coffee with my parents. While discussing the events of the day and plans for the evening we noticed a hammerhead shark swimming down the beach near some swimmers. I decided to video it so I could show it to my then-fiance. Prior to the video, my mother tried to whistle and alert him about the shark being close by. I told her to wait and it would probably swim on by and pay him lol kind. I didn’t expect what would happen next. The hammerhead made a sudden turn toward the man seen in the video. At first, it seemed as if the shark was going after the man, BUT upon reviewing I noticed that a small fish instinctively used the man as a shield to escape the shark. It’s my opinion that had the man known the shark was close by and moved he would have quite possibly been mistaken for the fish and been bitten. It seems to me from watching my video multiple times that sharks really aren’t interested in us we just get caught up and are mistakenly targeted by being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
