Info from Licensor: "I take care of a stray cat who showed up about a year ago. We used a live trap to catch him and get him neutered/vaccinated last year. I’ve been feeding him ever since. He used to be feral but has since become very friendly and now lets us pet him. He shows up for food every morning and for the last few weeks he was showing up wet and his fur was disheveled. I couldn’t figure out why, as we are in a drought here in south Texas, so there’s no way he was rubbing against any wet trees etc. Then this past weekend I went to feed him and walked out to this deer cleaning him. It went on for about 15 minutes and they didn’t seem to mind that I was watching. We live in a neighborhood with a lot of deer who are pretty tame. A lot are having babies this time of year and unfortunately many baby fawns don’t make it due to being hit by cars or killed by wild animals. Someone suggested that this deer perhaps lost her fawn and was caring for this kitty as one of her own young."
