Info from Licensor: "Crumble is my pet pigeon who's been living with me and my husband for over 2 years now. I foster pigeons who were infected by the Paramyxovirus, a virus that affects a pigeon's brain and causes neck twisting, lethargy, and inability to fly. With the right care, the bird can recover and be released again, but sometimes the symptoms remain, as was the case with Crumble, so I just kept her and try to give her the best life possible.
Recently she was behaving differently and I found out that she wanted to brood. So I offered her some sticks and wondered where she wanted to build her nest. Lo and behold, it was right in the middle of our couch, where she knows we usually sit and pet her! Since birds don't easily accept the relocation of their nest, we just accepted our fate and now it's Crumble's couch for the next few weeks."
