Info from Licensor: "While hiking in the snowy Rocky Mountains, I stopped to have a snack, and noticed the Canada Jays around me. They looked hungry, so I held a few unsalted peanuts and raisins on my hand as an offering. After realizing I wasn't going to present any danger to them, they became brave enough to land on my hand and fill their beaks, before flying back into the forest to cache their prize. The peanuts will provide them fat for the harsh winter. I normally don't feed wildlife to avoid acclimation to humans and dependency, but these birds will continue to forage for their own food sources. Birds, especially smart ones, do not generally become entirely dependent on an available food source."
