Info from Licensor: As a new mum with my second baby, I remembered how tough life was when my now 9-year-old son was born. I felt like I didn’t sleep for two years! I would spend hours patting his bum to get him to sleep in his cot – resulting in chronic back pain for me. After my daughter was born, I was adamant to start researching ways to get her to sleep soundly. I bought many products marketed as baby sleep associations. Funny enough, I have a memory as a very young child assisting my elder sister to babysit a young baby. I must have been about 4 or 5 years old, and my sister asked me to pat the baby’s bum whilst she tended to a chore. I remember saying, “I wish there was an invention to pat this baby’s bum” to which she laughed off. Having that fuzzy memory come to mind, I did some Googling of what there was on the market to imitate the patting of a bum. I found this flappy fish and ordered myself one online. It worked a treat! I’ve received some hateful comments on social about how bad of a mum I am for not wanting to pat my baby, or how dangerous this sleep situation is as it is a “cause of SIDS.” I don’t allow my baby to sleep with the flappy fish; I purely use it whilst I watch her drift off, save my back from chronic pain in the process, and remove it when she is in dreamland! Voila!
