Info from Licensor: "We were on vacation in Lake City, CO. We were riding in our side by side and coming back from seeing Golconda mine site one evening, when my wife noticed a bear in the far distance. We stopped on the trail and watched it come closer. We thought it was looking for berries or something. There were a couple deer up the hill from it and what looked to be a young elk laying down. The deer bounced off but the elk stayed laying up there. I realized the bear was on the scent of the elk and started stalking it. It got fairly close to the elk before it took off running after it. The elk jumped up and started running down the hill. The elks big mistake was going into the creek. That’s where the bear caught it and began dragging it into a safe spot for killing and eating. This was on August 9, 2020 around 6:40 pm. The whole time we watched it after the bear caught it, the elk was crying out and was not dead. We never thought the bear would be fast enough to catch the elk. Some locals are speculating that it might be a grizzly, but supposedly there are no grizzlies in the area anymore. It appears to be a cinnamon black bear but who knows for sure."
