Info from Licensor: "I'm a traveling foodie currently in Japan hunting interesting and culturally unique foods and dishes found only in this country. This video features a hot steel egg that is used to reheat cold soup at a tsukemen shop in Osaka, Japan.
Unlike ramen, which is noodles served in hot soup, tsukemen (literally dipping noodles) has the noodles served outside the soup for the diner to dip in the soup and eat. This however causes the soup to lose temperature, and so many shops offer to reheat the soup free of charge. This particular shop uses a traditional method of offering a hot object (usually a stone) for the diner to place in their soup to reheat their meal."
