Info from Licensor: "It was 7 a.m., and my boyfriend, Cody, woke me up to say a squirrel was in the fireplace. Everything online said to leave a window open and close the doors and the squirrel will come out on its own. Our living room doesn’t have doors and we knew animal control wouldn’t come so we knew it was in our hands. We were still both groggy and waking up and Cody grabbed some nitrile gloves and I began to film thinking it would be a cute video for my mom. Cody grabbed it but when the brass fireplace doors clanked together, the squirrel got scared and began to squirm. Cody took his left hand to try and stabilize the squirrel. I immediately thought to myself “no” but it happened too quick to say anything. The squirrel bit down and began to rag doll. Eventually, the squirrel let go and was now running around the living room so I ran upstairs to get away and Cody ran outside screaming. At this point not only were our roommates awake but the neighbors too who ran in because they thought someone was dying. We ended up having to go to the hospital while we left one roommate to handle the squirrel. No stitches or rabies shots are needed thankfully, just antibiotics and hydrogen peroxide. Pain killers too as the bite went down to the bone. Eventually, the squirrel did get out of a back door."
