Info from Licensor: "The most joyous summer parade is the goat parade to yoga! This moment makes me teary every week. Sometimes life is dark and challenging, sometimes it rushes at us with an abundance of joy that takes our breath away. If we can store up that sweetness, it can get us through the hard times. Thanks to all of you who bring your incredible energy to the farm! Sunflower Farm hosts yoga with the goats every Thursday evening and Saturday morning! This is their 10th year of this tradition. In springtime as many as 50 baby goats join the fun. Later in the summer and fall the kids go to homes as pets or dairy goats and the parade returns to the farm’s core beloved herd of 30.
Sunflower Farm prides itself on the most humane treatment of every member of their beloved herd. Sunflower Farm is one of a handful of No Cull commercial dairy goat farms in the country. We are working hard to prove that a farm can be both profitable and humane. At Sunflower Farm, every goat born on the farm is named and valued and we cherish our animals long after their commercial productivity while providing them the very best feed, medical attention and love. People often return to buy kids from Sunflower Farm, saying they are the friendliest goats around. Every visitor helps in making sure each baby goat is welcomed, respected and adored in the months before they head to their new homes as treasured pets and/or dairy goats."
