Info from Licensor: "The moose's name is Bug. She showed up at my house late winter, incredibly emaciated and too young to be away from her mother. She was covered in Moose Tics which is the cause of an incredibly high mortality rate with young calves. I contacted the Department of Wildlife Services and they told me that I should just let nature run its course. I wasn't going to accept that. So I started feeding her. At first, I'd just throw the food outside my door, and then eventually she started taking the food from my hand. I always allow her to approach me first. She is a wild animal and comes and goes as she pleases. More likely than not she is now pregnant! So hopefully we will get to see some Bug babies in the future."
