Another red-tailed hawk gets caught in a ventilation shaft and wind up in an enclosed space. This was in the exhaust room for a turbine generator in Ravenswood, Queens, NY. I couldn't film the actual rescue because it was in the dark and there was no place to put the camera. After rescue then the inspection of the bird to see if it's releasable. In this case it had a broken claw and some feather damage. Even though it's nesting season, I thought it best to get the bird checked out. That was done at WINNOR in Long Island. After overnight stay we let him go in Hunter's Point Park South with Fish and Wildlife tag.
