Occurred on April 29, 2018 / Tequesta, Florida, USA
Info from Licensor: "I saw thick black smoke coming from the Tequesta sandbar, which is a popular hang out for boats. I rushed down there on a jet ski to help because I'm an unemployed firefighter/EMT and wanted to help anyone in need. Everyone was already safely off the boat and the boat was fully involved with fire. The flames were at least ten feet tall. Fire rescue was on the shore but unable to reach the location which was in the middle of the waterway, so I took action using the resources I had at hand. I sped towards the flames, turning at the last second to spray water onto the fire. The jet ski is capable of throwing a lot of water at once which all and all put out the fire. The reasons I put out the fire were to try and salvage the boat and to protect other property from being involved. The end result was the fire was extinguished, no one was hurt and other peoples' properties were protected."
