Info from Licensor: "While vacationing with my children and grandchildren in Cape May, we witnessed a terrifying event unfolding. The lifeguards just left their stations at 5:30 pm, announcing by their whistles they were off duty when 15 minutes later, two children playing in the tumultuous waves of the roiling ocean began being sucked out in a riptide right near a jetty of rocks. A woman went in after them and all three were being sucked further into the waves. I called 911. Another person did the same and the fire department was on scene within minutes. A minute later the Cape May lifeguards began running and driving up the beach. A man then ran into the water but by then the three were somehow pushed around the end of the jetty and arriving emergency services people helped them out of the water. The man continued so very swiftly to be sucked out to sea. With each crash of a wave over him, we would lose sight of him and then he'd come back up maybe other 5-6 feet further out into the sea. The beach patrol lifeguards were arriving on the scene in an amazing swarm and ran into those crashing waves with no hesitation. The fire department swimmers got to the drowning man first and the life guards quickly organized into a human chain to bring him in. When the fireman swimmers reached the man he was breathing and conscience and he okay now."
