Info from Licensor: My boyfriend and I were camping in a residential neighborhood of strawberry Arizona, on a friend's vacation property, and woke up one morning in my tent, being surrounded by large female elk. They charged at us every time we tried to exit our tent and we were essentially held hostage for over an hour because every time we would try to get out, they would chase us. We didn’t realize until about 20 minutes into the experience that there was a baby elk laying down in our extra camping supplies and that is why they were being persistent and protective. It was terrifying but beautiful all at the same time, especially once the baby got up and started to play and graze around us. They eventually left after about 70-75 minutes of being stuck in our tent. The baby was very curious and cute and the females did a great job at being protective of him.
