Occurred on June 16, 2018 / Jacksonville, Florida, USA Info from Licensor: 462' cooling towers at St. Johns River Power Park explosively demolished on June 16th, 2018. The towers had been taken out of service as part of the changing use of the power station and since they were disused it was decided to demolish them - it took 10 weeks to prepare for the detonation and cost an estimated $10 million.
