Info from Licensor: "For several years now bears, abundant in this part of the state, have been visiting my property, often coming up onto the porch to see if there's anything edible. This bear, who I've decided to call Marcel, has come by 3-4 times before. He's very shy compared to the others and doesn't put up much of a fight when I ask him to leave. Like many others in and around Asheville he's wearing a tracking collar. He 'volunteered' to be part of the 'The North Carolina Urban/Suburban Bear Study', which aims to provide a deeper understanding of black bear ecology in urban/suburban environments that will benefit both the citizens of Asheville as well as the bears of North Carolina."
