Info from Licensor: "One October morning, I got a call from my mother that she and our friend found Noodle stuck in the creek that runs through our property. On my way there, I called the firefighters across the street as Noodle had a hoof issue and would never get out without help. The air siren sounded, the firefighters arrived and so did our vet in case Noodle needed medical attention, or, God forbid, could not be saved.
When I, too, got stuck in the mud trying to lift my metric ton mare up with my bare hands because nothing else worked (neither did that), we were looking at a tragic outcome, when my vet's friend mobilized her husband and his machinery. A heroic entry, crashing through the undergrowth with an agricultural vehicle, he arrived just in time before Noodle would start shutting down under her own weight and hypothermia. We freed Noodle from her soaked blanket and dried her off, and she ran up the pasture under the sudden adrenaline boost. She made a full recovery and spent the rest of her life as a content pasture ornament.
This was a joint effort of the Kletzke village vet, agricultural cooperative, firefighters, and friends."
