Info from Licensor: This is a video of our bottle-fed female baby sheep that was raised with our Australian Shepard dogs. We introduced our grandmother's dog and they began playing- the dog chased the sheep around then decided to lay down and, when she did, the baby sheep began head butting. The dog had more than enough room to get away, but decided it wanted to “play” and teach the lamb that it is not a threat. There was no training or instructing the dog to stay. Its natural instincts from hundreds of years of breeding for herding sheep has made it naturally know techniques that show the livestock it is not a threat, which is why it continues to lay down and take the hits instead of nipping back or attacking. A minute later they were up running and chasing one another. These are skillful dogs and they have every ability to protect themselves. Humans did not step in because it was unnecessary, as the dog knows exactly what it is doing.
