Info from Licensor: "I'm guessing that this mother moose had baby calves and she was protecting her newborns. People had been riding down the bike trail agitating her and not leaving her alone for a few days. I had seen a biker on the ground with a news crew who had use their vehicle as a protective shield in case the Moose charged again. It is general knowledge that mother moose during calving are extremely dangerous. In Alaska, it is general knowledge that moose are more dangerous than bears and kill more Alaskans than bears. This particular stretch of the highway has signage that notifies its commuters how many moose have been killed on that particular stretch of highway July to June every year. What the sign doesn't show is how many moose kill humans. This was a great experience and I'm happy I was to capture it on film. The biker made it away unharmed and was more than likely saved from the horrific incident."
