Info from Licensor: We had a powerful, destructive storm hit Springville on August 1, 2022, causing extensive damage and cleanup. We had a handful of kids at our house this night watching a movie. We decided to put the movie on pause and watch the lighting. The lightning got closer and closer. Anyhow, the powerful part of the storm seemed to last only about 5 minutes. I believe it was considered a microburst. I ended up calling Springville Police to report a fire from a tree landing on the powerline. Within a few minutes, we had firemen and police at our front door. We went outside for a few minutes to explain what had happened and where. And that is when we noticed a trampoline had hit both of our trucks. One truck was brand new and had maybe 600 miles on it. The first thing I thought was to pull up our Ring doorbell history to see if we got it on camera. Sure enough, it was caught on tape along with the storm rolling in. In this video, you will see the trampoline come flying in from the right and hitting both of our trucks in the driveway. The trampoline actually flew up about 20 feet in the air and hit our home causing a hole in our home. I mean, you could literally stand on the outside of our home and reach your arm to the inside of our home. There was still a spring from the trampoline stuck to the side of the house where it hit. Upon further investigation, the trampoline also put a hole in the hood of our truck. Yes, a hole! We not only had damage to our house from this trampoline but also damage to both of our trucks! We definitely felt the monetary and emotional damage from this storm. I have 2 young daughters who witnessed this storm. They are still terrified today anytime they see lightning or hear thunder.
