Info from Licensor: "This is the discovery of an Enhydro Herkimer Diamond quartz crystal at The Ace of Diamonds Mine in Middleville, New York on October 9, 2021. I am a crystal miner, I do all of my work my hand with no power tools. I search the rock for these pockets where the crystals formed, laying untouched by any human hands for hundreds of millions of years waiting to be discovered. I support myself by selling my finds, though I keep many of the finest pieces. in addition to being particularly large and beautiful, this crystal exhibits a skeletal form, meaning that the edges of the faces formed before the center has a chance to catch up. Additionally, it features an Enhydro inclusion, a chamber inside of the crystal containing liquid water, and a moving gas bubble! This ancient water has been trapped inside of the crystal since it formed around 350 million years ago. It is a rare and interesting natural phenomenon that sometimes occurs when water becomes trapped while the crystals are forming. Fluid from enhydro inclusions is sometimes extracted and studied, but this specimen will remain intact and in my personal collection. This crystal was one of dozens of crystals in this pocket, my girlfriend and I extracted a bucket full of crystals before lunch. Even for a person who finds incredible things for a living, this was a memorable day!"
