This video is their first meeting. My mother was a pillar for me during pregnancy, even while sick. I’d call her 50 times a day for every ache and pain and she loved it. When Adalyn was born, something changed in her. It was like she had a newfound purpose. Unfortunately, she couldn’t hang on for too long, but she gave it the fight of her life for my daughter. The last thing she did before slipping out of consciousness was reach for my daughter and say, “my little kumquat.” She died just after Adalyn turned 3. I can’t express to you how that kills me. I cry for her every day and I don’t think that’s ever going to stop, but before you say it, I know. She’s everywhere. The strongest spirit in the game. We talk all the time. We still spend time together. I make meals for her, I do things she’d love, and I still turn to her for everything. My little momma bear, I love you so much, baby. PS: my mother lied.
