Saving a Skunk From the Side of the Road

Info from Licensor: "It was an early Tuesday morning and I received a text from a coworker who was opening up the clinic we work at together. It was my day off, so she texted me saying she was driving to work and saw a skunk struggling to get up off the road with one arm. She gave me the directions to where it was and since I was already starting to pack up my kids for school, I was able to get on the road in good time. It didn’t take long to spot the struggling skunk once I got past the intersection my friend described. He was huge. I spotted a driveway fairly close to where he was so I pulled in once traffic opened up. It was lashing down rain and the poor guy was sitting against the curb as water from the rain pooled up around him. It was clear from when I saw him in my car that he could not move a large portion of his body so I was a little less worried about him spraying or acting out. He seemed actually relieved. He didn’t cry or seem scared, just defeated. I was able to get him to the vet and seen fairly quickly. Sadly his injuries were too extreme and he had to be humanely euthanized."
