A Raccoon at Mass

Occurred on May 2, 2018 / University of San Diego, California, USA

Info from Licensor: "Early on during Mass, I had heard people laughing and chattering and eventually my friend pointed out to me the raccoon on the wall climbing up the displays. The raccoon was so still and relaxed that most people didn't notice, it wasn't until the homily that the racoon started to make it's way down. The entire time students were laughing and pointing.
The priest, Fr. Robert, turned around to the wall to see all the commotion. He laughed along and finished his homily saying, 'I don't know how much of the homily you guys heard.'
The raccoon eventually made its way down the sanctuary and through the isle and someone opened up a door for it. There are a lot of raccoons on campus and they're very comfortable with humans. This is what it means when we say all are welcome to mass!"
