Child Receives Swift Lesson in Deer Behavior

Info from Licensor: Family weekend trip. The deer seemed friendly and was attracting a crowd. Lina, I, and others had spent time petting her. At some point I got distracted, when I came back video in hand, Lina was with the deer and her ice cream. In the video you can hear Lina mention 'she lifted her hoof,' Lina did not see this as a threat. Me assuming the deer wanted the ice cream (because she was at a food stand and clearly used to be fed by people) requested Lina feed the deer. I thought this would be cute and great footage. I didn't think Lina would mind. Lina funny enough did not want to share her ice cream and lifted her foot in a mimicking fashion. After that she then flung her arm, and the deer reared up grazing Lina's left eye and cheek. I have a video of Lina right have the incident with ice cream still in hand. She is tearful but okay. We are blessed it was not worse and do not want harm to happen to the deer. For that reason, I have not released the location of the incident. Lina had a bruised eye and scrap on her face. Today she is healthy and fine. No scarring.
