Info from Licensor: "ONE MAN'S SOLO WHITE SHARK TAGGING MISSION!

White Shark Predation Elephant Sea

I was hunting and I saw commotion in the distance to my right about a 1/2 mile away I went over there and saw the elephant seal floating upside down with its head hanging from a small patch of skin and a very large area of blood.
I shut down the motors on the boat and started to drift with the seal.
About a 1/2 hour later a 16 to 17' female white shark showed up.
It was getting late in the afternoon I didn't have much time to try and Tag her Unfortunately she was not interested in my bait only the seal and I didn't have appropriate lighting so I decided to drift with the seal till sunrise hopefully the shark would hang out so I could tag her.
She returned to the carcass approximately every 30 minutes To feed on it.
She was very cautious careful and gentle swimming around very slowly.
When she approached the carcass approximately every 30 minutes over 8 hrs She seemed to sink her teeth in and examining for bones before she started thrashing ripping chunks off.
She ate everything except for the backbone and rib cage And I believe she discarded the head.
At approximately 3:00 a.m. she left and I didn't see her again.
I left at 9:00 a.m. the next morning.
Always exciting to have enormous predators so close for hours And sometimes days."
