The Bear Boss

Occurred on July 19, 2017 / Katmai National Park, Alaska, USA

Info from Licensor: "This was on the Trail to Brooks Falls, a narrow twisting trail with high grass on both sides. The initial contact with the bear was around a corner. I backed up found a great spot which would get me off trail. I had been making noise prior to contact. Once off the trail I continue to alert the bear presence and made a louder projection of my voice, which let him look my way and then at me, and then continue down the trail in the opposite direction to my travel."
