Train Takes Out Razor

Occurred on November 11, 2018 / Evans City, Pennsylvania, USA

Info from Licensor: "Well we were going to check out this dead bod. First of all, I was passenger this day . In my friends Polaris RZR 1000 turbo. We were having a great day riding on his property in western Pennsylvania until till that moment. We followed our two buddies over the tracks on their RZR 900’s. Well when we went over the sliders, the trailing arm got hung up and stopped us in our tracks. I immediately undid my harness waved our friends back to help us. I put my arm down and looked to my left and here comes a train about 3-400 yards away coming around a bend literally not 10 seconds after we bottomed out. We scrambled to hook up to another RZR and gave her a tug. It didn’t move! The train was about 80 feet away when we decided to bail. Everything happened in less than one min. The train conductors were pretty cool and understanding of the situation . They applied their emergency air brakes about 500 feet away going 21 mph. They thought we were a shadow or tree on the tracks, until they seen us running around hooking up the razor. They hit us and the train stopped 150 feet later. So close from avoiding this situation. So, since they applied the emergency air brakes an inspector had to come verify that nothing was wrong with the train. While waiting for the inspector, local fire department arrived. Paramedics came and a state trooper had to walk 3/4 of a mile down the track to make a report ."
