Info from Licensor: "There's a gas station up the street. The next day, I asked them if they had lost some tires. They look around and said everything was accounted for. Later the next day, I found the one tire at the bottom of Philadelphia Pike. It's a pretty steep hill. The tire traveled almost half a mile. I got out and looked. It was a new tire so I'm pretty sure it must have fallen out the back of a pick-up truck."
