Driving Too Fast In The Rain

Occurred on January 3, 2024 / Corona, California, USA

Info from Licensor: "I was driving to work on 91 East before the Green River Road exit (close to the border between Yorba Linda and Corona). I was traveling about 60-65 mph. It was raining that morning. I drove behind the Ford Taurus initially but moved to the left to pass him. As I passed his car, I saw a car fly by in my rearview mirror and another car hit the wall. I noticed traffic behind those cars came to a stop. I wasn't sure exactly who was hit at the time but clicked on my dashcam to save the video. Once I got to work, I reviewed my dash cam footage and saw that the Kia car was driving fast in the FasTrak lane, appeared to hit a puddle, hydroplaned, and then crashed into the Ford Taurus causing him to hit the wall. I called CHP afterward to offer my name and contact info along with the video as evidence."
