Hunter Encounters Cougar on Hunting Camp Trail

Info from Licensor: "I was hiking in about 7 miles in a wilderness area in Oregon to pack out a hunting camp from the week before. I saw something walking towards me on the same trail I was on. Once I realized it was a cougar I took out my phone not knowing what would happen next. I didn’t have a sidearm on me and all I had was a pocket knife. The cat kept looking at me and kept walking towards me. I knew to stay calm and not run away in a situation like that. If the cougar would have kept coming I would have started yelling and making myself appear big. It walked into the brush and I never saw it again after that but kept looking over my shoulder for the rest of the day. An unforgettable experience!"
