Crash During Motorcycle Race

Occurred on September 19, 2015 / Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Info from Licensor: "I was preparing for a pass so I was closer than I normally would be going through that section. His back tire ended up coming off the pavement and into the dirt which caused him to low-side onto the track in front of me. Various scenarios went through my head as I approached him. I didn't want to grab a handful of front brake and end up on top of him, but I didn't want to low-side as well and have the bike crash into him. I knew I wouldn't get around him to the right without running over his neck or head. Hitting him was imminent, so I decided the least amount of damage I could do would be to un-weight the bike and try to wheelie over the top of him. Luckily he was wearing good gear and a back protector. I feel that this was the reason he was able to ride later that day and wrap up his championship the next day."
