Intricate Lace Making

Occurred in Adrain, Missouri, USA

Info from Licensor: "I am making Bobbin Lace. An old traditional style of lace making that dates back to the 1500's in Europe. I use a French style bolster lace pillow and English Midland Bobbins. The beads on the bobbins are beautiful but are functional. In England they call them spangles and they keep the bobbins from rolling on the lace pillow."
