Python Spotted Slithering at Los Angeles Park
Posted by:

Occurred on August 19, 2017 / Los Angeles, California, USA Info from Licensor: "As I was finishing my hike at Runyon Canyon, I came to the main area of the park when I noticed three people standing around a well-camouflaged snake. This snake was far different looking than the rattle snakes and rat snakes sometimes spotted in that area. Not only was it comfortably sitting in the middle of the most populated area of the park, but it obviously had no trouble finding food as indicated by the lump on its mid section. As people stopped and stared at it, it raised its head and the front 12 inches of itself in what almost looked like a defensive mode. The Park Ranger was called and did get the snake, which was said to be a ball python, and definitely had formerly been someone's pet."
