Occurred on February 28, 2019 / Sabi Sands Game Reserve, Mpumalanga, South Africa
Info from Licensor: "The video was taken while on safari from Dulini River lodge in the famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve in South Africa. We tracked and found a heard of elephants that were moving through the bush towards our vehicle. We stopped and waited for them to approach us. Out of the thick bush and long grass came a very young elephant calf. He was very curious and approached our vehicle while his mother crossed the road further in front of us. The elephant calf then proceeded to 'play' with us, he displayed with his ears out and trunk up. A usual sign of excitement. The calf then got bored of us when we did not 'play' with him and continued to pick up sticks and run around in a very entertaining way, eventually running over to his mom and collapsing in front of her.
It was a special sighting for myself and the guests on board the safari. An amazing interaction with an incredible little animal!"
