There were some intense moments outside the Cash Store in Irving on Friday afternoon.
An armed robbery escalated into a hostage situation. Police officers shot and killed the suspect.
Irving police said the suspect, armed with a handgun, had taken a hostage from inside the business on the 4100 block of State Highway 183. An Irving police officer was near the Cash Store at the time of the call, and multiple other officers arrived on the scene after the call was made.
