They are usually abandoned or returned for being too hyper or biting. in one case, she just has a hip problem that causes her to walk funny. I have always wanted ferrets, but after picking up two little boys, the business grew to 8. My first boy Vin Weasel, passed away at the age of 6, and another girl passed after battling insulnoma for 2 years. I now care for 6 little ones.
